Dr. Ikonte is responsible for the research, design and formulation development of solid dosage forms for various therapeutic categories. She serves as an Expert Speaker and has represented the NUTRILITE brand in several cities in Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore to educate about the research and clinical substantiation activities of various dietary supplements. Dr. Ikonte represents the NUTRILITE brand in several industry forums and has served as a scientist on the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, Traditional Medicine Health Supplement (ASEAN TMHS) Scientific Committee, working on the harmonization of guidelines regulating dietary supplements and traditional medicines in Southeast Asia. She studied at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Nigeria, where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, and at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, where she obtained her doctorate in pharmaceutical sciences. Dr. Ikonte is a member of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists, the Controlled Release Society, American Society of Pharmacognosy and the American Association of Cancer Research, where she has given several peer-reviewed presentations. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, visiting new places, and playing table tennis.
