Groh oversees the Health and Beauty New Technology R&D group. The group’s primary responsibility is the identification, evaluation and integration of new ingredient and product technologies into the ARTISTRY™ and NUTRILITE™ product development pipeline. The group also leads and facilitates the Health and Beauty Technology Planning process in addition to managing the new technology knowledgebase and the Advanced Skin Imaging Laboratory.
Groh began his career in 1988 in the Home Care product development group. He worked in personal care product development from 1989 to 1996, where he formulated ARTISTRY cosmetics products. He also held group leader positions for NUTRILITE concentrate development in Lakeview, CA and in Buena Park, CA. In 2002, he was promoted to manager of supplement product development in Nutrition Research and Development. In 2004, as a broadening opportunity, Groh became the manager of Analytical Services/Incoming QA at Alticor’s corporate headquarters in Ada, MI. In 2005, he was given the opportunity to manage the newly created Health & Beauty New Technology R&D group.
Groh is a member of the American Associate of Pharmaceutical Scientists, the Society of Cosmetic Chemists and the American Chemical Society. He also holds five U.S. patents. Groh holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Grand Valley State University in Allendale, MI
