Shyam Ramakrishnan, PhD Research Associate, Health & Beauty New Technology

Dr. Ramakrishnan's primary responsibility to the NUTRILITE™ brand is to develop nutrigenomics-driven products. He uses his background in Genomics and Genetics of diseases to accomplish this goal. He utilizes technologies such as gene expression (microarray) to understand the mechanisms by which herbals and other nutritional ingredients deliver their beneficial effects. Previously, Dr. Ramakrishnan held industry positions at Hoffman La Roche Pharmaceuticals and Bayer Pharmaceuticals. He received his Ph.D. from UT Galveston and his post-doctoral fellowship from Harvard Medical School, Boston.
